THE STARTING POINT

Nothing in March.
A complete build
for September.

Build the rally’s digital presence and the systems that would help people discover it, buy tickets and arrive ready.

The project started from zero in March 2026. Maryke confirms Side Eye Marketing delivered the whole website, SEO optimisation, ticketing system and all social media. That work continued into registration, gate workflows, partner promotion, draws and shared live-event support.

One connected delivery

Side Eye Marketing connected the public campaign to the working event systems. Organisers led sponsor acquisition and event operations, with gate oversight and media shared across the team.

Explore the project phases

Start with nothing. Build the foundation.

Side Eye Marketing began from zero in March 2026 and built the rally website, SEO, ticketing system and social media presence.

Inspect the record ↓
  • Maryke confirms the complete digital build and March start, including the website, SEO optimisation, ticketing and all social media.
  • The April infrastructure proposal and June content calendar preserve the early scope and campaign planning.
  • The website and ticketing became the practical route from rally information to purchase and arrival.

Give people reasons to come.

Social media, campaign creative and useful rally information built anticipation around clubs, partners, artists and the motorcycle draws.

Inspect the record ↓
  • Side Eye Marketing handled the social media campaign and supporting creative, as confirmed by Maryke.
  • Saved club welcome, live Q&A and draw artwork shows the campaign’s rally identity.
  • The content plan connected ticket information, vendors, sponsors and entertainment. Published-post totals remain to be reconciled.

Support a live event.

The digital work met real gate sales, rider acceptance, check-ins and draw administration.

Inspect the record ↓
  • 24 September: Maryke confirmed an access sale completed with successful check-in and issue of wristband and steel badge.
  • The separate Hayabusa operator flow captured entries and reset between customers.
  • The operational debrief identified late entry capture and draw delays to address.

Measure the response. Carry the lessons forward.

Facebook dashboard screenshots and community feedback now sit alongside the operational debrief.

Inspect the record ↓
  • The supplied Facebook snapshots show 1,419,171 views and 79,914 engagements, with reporting-period limits noted.
  • The audience snapshot records 4,534 total followers and 1,066 net follows for 8 September–5 October.
  • Positive community feedback continues, according to Maryke. Gate readiness, draw reconciliation and consistent reporting guide the next rally.

FULL WEBSITE BUILD / SEO OPTIMISATION

Build the rally’s digital home from zero.

Starting in March, Side Eye Marketing built the complete website and delivered SEO optimisation alongside the ticketing and social media work.

The full websiteDelivery record

Maryke confirms Side Eye Marketing delivered the whole rally website from a standing start in March 2026. The website was part of the complete event build.

STRATEGY / COPY / CREATIVE

Build the audience. Give the rally a voice.

Side Eye Marketing handled all social media, campaign copy and creative as part of the build from March. The campaign made the rally, its people and practical information visible.

WEBSITE / COMMERCE / ACCESS CONTROL

Connect the website to the gate.

Side Eye Marketing built the ticketing system as part of the full website delivery. WooCommerce and FooEvents connected purchases, tickets and check-in, with shared gate oversight during the rally.

Ticketing system deliveredDelivery record

Maryke confirms the ticketing system formed part of Side Eye Marketing’s full delivery. The master plan assigns website and online ticket sales to Maryke and records the gate, scanning and help-desk arrangements.

OPERATOR FLOW / RIDER ACCEPTANCE

Put the important details in one journey.

The gate workflow brought rider details, acceptance, payment, order creation and access control into a single operator journey.

Rider fields and acceptanceDelivery record

Maryke confirmed the access screen showed rider name, email, phone, SA ID, club, rider acceptance and the gate-sale action on 24 September.

Source notes ↓
Waiver in purchase termsPlanning record

The master document says the waiver forms part of terms accepted during online or gate purchase. That defines the intended process.

PARTNER VISIBILITY / EVENT INFORMATION

Make the people around the rally visible.

Partner and performer information was part of the content plan. Club participation and partner logos also appear in saved campaign artwork.

Partner and club creativeSaved work

The Fidus Amicus MC welcome poster presents the club challenge alongside partner logos. It documents a creative output, with final publication and approval still to verify.

The calendar covers vendors, accommodation, sponsors and entertainment. The later master document provides the controlled artist list and separates sponsorship from paid operational services.

Source notes ↓
Accurate creditPlanning record

Sponsor acquisition, artists and operational suppliers were organiser responsibilities. Side Eye’s case-study credit covers their promotion and supporting communication.

SHARED GATE OVERSIGHT / MEDIA SUPPORT

Keep the operation moving while the rally happens.

Shared system oversight placed Maryke’s work at the point where ticketing, staff and attendee questions met. The evidence includes live implementation reports and a practical debrief.

Live workflow supportDelivery record

The 24 September reports confirm testing and use of access and Hayabusa operator flows, including a clean reset between Hayabusa customers. Cross-flow cart behaviour was identified for improvement.

Source notes ↓
Media and guest-photo planningPlanning record

Maryke shared the media and photography role with Suné and Charles. The master reference specifies VibeKapture QR uploads and a guest-photo competition. Upload totals and a delivered gallery are unverified.

Source notes ↓
Operational pressureDelivery record

Maryke’s post-event debrief identified early arrivals increasing the load and the need for the gate to operate independently next time.

Source notes ↓

SEPARATE ENTRY FLOWS / DATABASE SUPPORT

Explain the draws. Make eligibility traceable.

Rally access, Hayabusa keychain entries and the club challenge had different qualifying rules. The operator flow and debrief show both useful delivery and control gaps.

Distinct draw communicationSaved work

The QJ artwork explains ten present finalists, ten key boxes and one winning key. The master document distinguishes that access-ticket draw from the R200 Hayabusa keychain entry and Lifan club prize.

06 / THE NEXT RALLY

Carry the energy.
Strengthen the system.

Three concrete recommendations for 2027.
Based on the delivery record and debrief.

01 / GATE READINESS

Build a gate team
that can run itself.

Early arrivals increased pressure, according to Maryke’s debrief. Assign a gate lead, train operators with real test orders, roster cover from the first expected arrival and give the help desk a clear escalation route.

2027 completion check

Each operator completes an access sale, scan, re-entry check and ticket-problem handoff before opening.

02 / DRAW CONTROL

Freeze and reconcile
the eligible draw list.

Maryke reported late data entry and technical draw delays. Agree one cutoff, separate payment status from eligibility, verify required check-ins and obtain auditor sign-off before the stage draw.

2027 completion check

A timestamped eligible-entry export, exception log and signed draw record are ready before the finalists are called.

03 / CONTENT & PROOF

Capture the moments.

Delivery recordFull delivery scope & March starting pointBuilt from zero in March: the complete website, SEO, ticketing and all social media.

Maryke’s confirmation · 6 October 2026

  • Maryke confirms the project started with nothing in March 2026 and Side Eye Marketing delivered the whole website, SEO optimisation, ticketing system and all social media.
  • She describes building the event into something people enjoyed and says positive feedback continues after the rally. The community archive provides supporting examples of audience response.
  • This first-hand delivery confirmation expands the earlier planning and implementation record. It establishes the scope of work without assigning an unverified uplift in SEO, revenue or attendance.

Delivery scope and ongoing feedback are confirmed by Maryke. Quantified search performance and commercial results still require their own analytics and reconciled event data.

Delivery recordGate-workflow implementation reportUser confirmation of the access sale, rider fields, check-in and Hayabusa operator flow.

Maryke’s messages · 20 and 24 September 2026

  • 20 September: Maryke confirmed improved readability of the SA ID field and editable quantities with calculated totals in the Hayabusa operator screen.
  • 24 September: she confirmed name/email/phone, SA ID, club, rider acceptance and the complete-gate-sale action on the access screen.
  • She reported a completed Full Throttle gate sale, successful rider check-in, and issue of a wristband and steel badge.
  • Maryke also confirmed the Hayabusa entry flow and reset between customers. Cross-flow cart behaviour was an operational issue identified during implementation.

These are Maryke’s contemporaneous implementation reports. No independent technical audit or full transaction-success rate is claimed.

Delivery recordDraw debrief & reconciliationLate capture and draw delays informed stronger entry-list controls.

Maryke’s messages · 27–28 September 2026

  • Maryke’s 27 September debrief reported late entry capture, technical delays and the presence of an independent auditor.
  • The final eligible list and signed auditor record were not inspected for this case study. Payment status and eligibility must be reconciled before publishing a verified control outcome.
  • Earlier plans differed on cutoff times. One approved cutoff, a timestamped eligible-entry export and an exception log are practical improvements for the next rally.

This is a reported operational lesson. A signed draw record is required to verify the final outcome.

Delivery recordPost-event gate lessonsEarly-arrival pressure and the need for a self-running gate team.

Maryke’s debrief · 27 September 2026

  • Maryke reported early arrivals increased the operational load and the QJ draw took too long.
  • Her main delivery lesson was that the gate should operate independently at the next rally, with clearer responsibility, operator readiness and cover.

User-reported operational lessons support the 2027 recommendations. Queue times, staffing performance and service-level measures were not recorded in the inspected evidence.
